First, data updates are simplified because the number of updates is reduced when data appears in more than one location in the list. Second, the possibility of incorrectly entering duplicate data is reduced. Third, the problem of inconsistently entering data values is removed. Finally, the ability to enter data on one theme in the list without having data for the other theme is enhanced.
