Answer to Question 1

The first level of normalization removes all repeating groups and arrays from entities, and makes sure that every column contains a single value all of the same type. Second Normal Form removes functional dependencies, which are subgroups or sub themes of attributes within an entity. Each subgroup should be made into a separate entity. The third level of normalization removes transient dependencies from entities. This ensures that all attributes describe the primary key of an entity and not some other attribute.
