There are special procurement marketplaces on the Web for different industries where manufacturers can trade and even make auction bids with suppliers. Procurement activities are also done more and more over the Internet with e-procurement solutions. Creating an integrated e-supply chain will continue to be a major competitive advantage as it speeds time to market, improves order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
