Answer to Question 1

An approach a hacker might use to breach network security is a mechanism referred to as cross site scripting or XSS. XSS attacks take advantage of web-application and web browser weaknesses to embed malicious scripts into web pages. In this event the user's web-application or browser is tricked into executing malicious code. Once executed, the malicious code can make it possible for the hacker to steal personal information allowing the hacker to impersonate the victim. Or the malicious code may cause the user's computer to launch attacks of its own without the user's knowledge.
