Line-of-sight services utilize a fixed dish antenna that points directly, hence the term line-of-sight, at a Wi-Max signaling tower. These types of line-of-sight transmission use higher radio frequencies, usually resulting in less interference, fewer errors, and more bandwidth. The disadvantage is that not all users or businesses will be able to have a line-of-sight connection to a Wi-Max tower.
