Answer to Question 1

B
In total patient care, the nurse is responsible for the total care of the patient assignment during the shift worked. In the case method, the nurse has one patient that is cared for exclusively. Functional nursing divides the nursing work into functional units that are then assigned to one of the team members. In team nursing, staff are assigned to teams, who are then responsible for a specified group of patients.
