Answer to Question 1

C
Since teamwork and collaboration occurs in many different settings, it is important to recognize the different levels of care and the characteristics of each. Primary care, as defined by the World Health Organization (2011) focuses on the reduction of social disparities, focusing on patient needs and expectations, and public policy reforms. Secondary care focuses on diagnosis and treatment in acute and emergency settings. Tertiary care emphasizes long-term rehabilitation and palliative care. Ancillary care may also be a type of tertiary care depending on what is involved.

Answer to Question 2

Team STEPPS was designed to assist health care professionals in creating and sustaining a culture of safety and as a process to assist health care professionals with safety concerns in organizations. It was developed in collaboratively between the Department of Defense's Patient Safety Program and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Team STEPPs has three phases not four.
