A nurse has accepted a management position on an ICU unit. The past few months have been challenging. The nurse has been very stressed and is unsure he made the right decision by accepting this position. Which action would be appropriate?
 
  1. Give proper notice.
  2. Discuss the matter with the director of the unit.
  3. Discuss the matter with his coworkers.
  4. Take time off.

adjust and learn the job. Discussing the matter with the director will allow the nurse to assess
his progress, and obtain feedback and assistance in how to manage the stress of the job.
Discussing the matter with coworkers may provide information regarding the managers
ability to manage the unit but the manager may obtain biased information.
