services and there a fewer disparities in health access and health outcomes. Environmental
quality, mental health and injury, and violence are important health indicators but these are less
directly indicative of health equity and the elimination of disparities.

The nurse should respect the client's desire to organize her care in the way that she
prefers. It is not the responsibility of the nurse to reorganize or overcome this family's
dynamics.
