The World Wide Web is a synonym for the internet. A PDA, or personal digital assistant, is a mobile device which functions as a personal information manager and has the ability to connect to the internet. Nurses are information processors; gathering data, synthesizing information, organizing and structuring a plan of care from the processed information. Informatics does not refer to the many ways that nurses use data to complete patient care.
