The categories of work-related hazards are biological, chemical, enviromechanical, physical, and psychosocial hazards. Biological and infectious hazards:
 
  1. Are factors that are encountered in the work environment that cause accidents
  2. Are agents within the work environment such as radiation, electricity, and noise
  3. Include factors associated with one's job that potentiate stress
  4. Include bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites

Question 2

Community partnership is necessary because lay members often have a vested interest in the success of efforts to improve the health of their community. Most changes should:
 
  1. Involve the community residents only
  2. Use nurses as their source of information and leadership
  3. Rely on the power of local officials
  4. Include a variety of disciplines
