A randomized control trial design will most strongly support evidence-based practice. Randomized controlled trials are the most powerful designs for testing hypotheses of cause-and-effect relationships. RCTs are the gold standard for intervention studies (Therapy questions) because they yield the highest-quality evidence about the effects of an intervention.
