Answer to Question 1

A, B, C
Feedback:
Sustainability is not usually included in a well-structured problem statement for nursing research. Problem identification, a proposed solution, and a knowledge gap are components of a well-structured problem statement for nursing research.

Answer to Question 2

3,4,5
Rationale 1: There are published research studies with serious flaws, but the majority of studies have only minor issues or no issues at all.
Rationale 2: The skill does take time to master, but marketability is not the reason it is important.
Rationale 3: This is an essential consideration. The nurse must be able to independently decide if a study was done correctly so the determination of accuracy of implications can be made accurately.
Rationale 4: At its very basic level, this is a fundamental skill of scholarship. Nurses are struggling to be identified as professionals and in an independent profession, so achievement of these skills is important.
Rationale 5: This is a correct statement. Reading other's research and critiquing that research helps to build skills.
