A difference between HMOs and PPOs is
 
  1. The HMO is a provider arrangement whereby comprehensive care if provided to members for a fixed, per member per month, fee.
  2. A PPO does not use predetermined rates for services to be delivered to members.
  3. HMOs have one model of care delivery.
  4. PPOs do not provide financial incentives to encourage members to select PPO providers.
