Answer to Question 1

ANS: A
Those that had an infection of cowpox were thereafter immune from smallpox, which was endemic and killed about 10 of the population. Measles, mumps, and scarlet fever did not provide immunity to smallpox.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A
The theory of reasoned action attempts to predict a person's intention to perform or not perform a certain behavior based on the assumption that all behavior is determined by one's behavioral intention. The client's perception of the threat of illness, the opinion of society, and benefits of regular exercise are not major factors discussed using the theory of reasoned action.

There can actually be a 25-hour time difference between certain locations in the world. The International Date Line passes between the islands of Samoa and American Samoa. It is not a straight line, but "zig-zags" around various island chains. Therefore, Samoa and nearby islands have one date, while American Samoa and nearby islands are one day behind. Daylight saving time is used in some islands, but not in others—further shifting the hours out of sync with natural time.
