Self monitoring is a procedure whereby a person observes his behavior systematically and records the occurrence of nonoccurrence of a target behavior. Self-monitoring with self-evaluation is a procedure whereby a person observes his behavior systematically & records the occurrence of nonoccurrence of a target behavior and the person's performance is compared by himself with a predetermined goal or standard.
