Answer to Question 1

C
The hazards of cigarette smoking and its relationship to Buerger's disease are the primary focus of patient teaching. None of the palliative treatments are effective if the patient does not stop smoking. Nowhere are the cause and effect of smoking so dramatically seen as with Buerger's disease.

Answer to Question 2

C
Feedback:
Relationships flourish only if the nurse devotes time and attention to them. Personal relationships will not necessarily improve if the nurse commits to self-care activities. The number of hours worked each week will not positively impact the quality of personal relationships. And the quality of personal relationships may or may not increase in proportion to the nurse's communication skills.
