review the content-area rubric to measure teacher growth, read the chapter and review websites of professional organizations to become acquainted with the issues and challenges specific to that area, and learn technology integration strategies by reviewing chapter information, examples, and websites listed.

Answer to Question 2

National Science Teachers Association (2007) and the American Chemical Society (2008) say that handson means that students must touch the materials ratherthan do science on a computer. Virtual schools and others say that simulated labs for activities such as experimentswith chemical compounds and animal dissections in biology are very much in keepingwith the idea of handson learning.
