The State Nurse Practice Act is what defines the scope of practice for the practical nurse. Responses A, B, and C are appropriate ways to define the job responsibilities of the practical nurse, but these job responsibilities must be within the practical nursing scope of practice.

A
In a court of law, a judge must assess this one issuewould another LPN do the same thing under the same circumstances? This is the measure of safe and prudent care. As long as the answer is always yes, the LPN is safe in her actions.
