Answer to Question 1

A
Yellowing of the lens causes older people to see colors in duller or softer hues and inhibits their ability to differentiate blues, browns, violets, and greens. Eye dryness is related to decreased tearing. Pupil constriction and diminished accommodation are related to the decreased ability of the iris to respond to light changes.

Answer to Question 2

B
Facial drooping or asymmetry is a classic abnormal finding on a physical examination that may be associated with a CVA. Ptosis of the eyelids is a normal aging change and is not considered abnormal unless it interferes with vision. Forward flexion of the neck is a normal result of spinal kyphosis. Facial edema is an abnormal finding that could be related to cortisone use, allergic reactions, renal failure, hormonal imbalance, or congestive heart failure.
