To become information literate, adolescents need the ability to:
 
  a. select good nonfiction since evaluative criteria do not exist for this genre.
  b. see the parts within the whole and their relationship, and solve problems and think analytically.
  c. know which fictional books complement nonfictional books, so both enjoyment and learning can be experienced.
  d. know the differences between series books and stand-alone books and which type best examines the subject.

Question 2

One problem for educators is that many review journals:
 
  a. cater to titles that are less controversial and therefore, more prone to being purchased.
  b. focus on individual titles rather than the series as a whole.
 
  c. focus on the series as a whole rather than on individual titles.
