Many autobiographies are fictionalized autobiographies since most people
 
  a. rely on their memories rather than on actual notes of conversations to recreate the story of their life.
  b. make up autobiographies as they write because there is no one actually knows the truth.
  c. embellish their life stories or do not want to tell the whole truth about their lives.
  d. change the details to reflect what they think the reader wants to hear and the publisher is willing to publish.

Question 2

Instead of depicting only the best about an individual, contemporary biographies for young adults:
 
  a. focus on the bad because a historical figure's negative past is just as important as the good she or he did.
  b. portray all sides of a person and present a well-rounded, realistic character who adolescents can relate to or begin to understand.
