Answer to Question 1

A cold can have variable fever, while the flu has high temperatures ranging from 100102F.
Headache is rare with a cold, but prominent with the flu.
Fatigue and weakness is mild with a cold, but can last 23 weeks with the flu.
Bronchitis can be a complication of the flu.
There are some flu vaccinations.
Extreme exhaustion can accompany the flu, but not a cold.

Answer to Question 2

Colds are the most common infectious illness of the respiratory tract.
Most adults get 24 colds per year; children get about 610 colds per year.
About 200 different viruses cause the common cold.
Symptoms include nasal congestion, sore throat, fatigue, headache, and perhaps low-grade fever.
Colds typically last one to two weeks.
