Answer to Question 1

They are specialized B-lymphocytes.
They remain long after the battle against a specific antigen is over.
They produce antibodies that have a memory for the antigen to which they were exposed.
They react swiftly to the same antigen producing a secondary immune response.
The person may never know they were exposed to an infection the second time.

Answer to Question 2

Sequence of events that take place when lymphocytes detect antigens and target them for destruction.
T-lymphocytes directly attack and destroy.
B-lymphocytes produce antibodies.
A particular antibody fits an invading antigen like a key fits a lock (very specific response).
