Answer to Question 1

1) We must believe we are capable of changing our thoughts and actions.
2) We must believe we are responsible for creating long-term change.
3) We must believe in our ability to move confidently in a new direction and arrive at our destination.
4) We must believe that our values determine our actions and behaviors.

Answer to Question 2

Self-esteem mirrors the value placed on us by others.
It is crucial for parents to prize their children unconditionally.
Parents should accept their children of having worth regardless of their behavior at any particular time.
Do not accept all of the child's behavior; correct behavior without damaging self-concept.
