Answer: Prescription opioid painkillers are responsible for the majority of the increase in unintentional poisoning deaths. Examples of these drugs are oxycodone (OxyContin) and hydrocodone (Vicodin). They are highly addictive, produce a high, and when taken in excess they suppress breathing. They are also associated with an increased risk for heart attack.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Sarah should keep her shotgun and ammunition away from children. She should unload her shotgun before storing it, and always treat it as though it were loaded, even if she knows it is not. Additionally, she should purchase a gun lock and use it when storing her shotgun.
