Answer: Get Yourself Tested (GYT) is a national collaborative effort by MTV, the Kaiser Foundation, the CDC, and others. CrowdOutAIDS is international and sponsored by the United Nations' UNAIDS.

Answer: The antiretroviral medications are frequently prescribed in combinations of three or four in a regimen often referred to as a highly active antiretroviral therapy, or HAART. For many HIV-positive people, HAART has changed their condition from a terminal illness to a chronic, manageable disease. With HAART, the average life expectancy of people newly diagnosed with HIV has been steadily increasing. Recent projection models suggest that a 39-year-old entering HIV care can expect to live until age 63.
