Answer: At 56.7 Caucasians have the highest rates of current drinking of any ethnic/racial group. Native Americans and Hispanic Americans have nearly identical reported rates of current drinking at 36.6 and 41.8, respectively. African Americans reported rates of 42.8, and Asian Americans were the lowest at 38.4. Binge drinking rates were highest among Hispanics followed by Native Americans, Caucasians, those of mixed race, African Americans, and Asian Americans.
