Answer to Question 1

Answer:
Methamphetamine can cause a rapid or irregular heartbeat, boost blood pressure, and reduce appetite. Irritability, anxiety, insomnia, confusion, and tremors are also side effects. High doses can elevate body temperature to dangerous or lethal levels, as well as cause convulsions. Cardiovascular collapse and death are not uncommon. Chronic abusers may experience aggressiveness, anorexia, memory loss, hallucinations, and a paranoia that sometimes causes homicidal or suicidal thoughts.
Chronic methamphetamine use significantly changes how the brain functions. Long-term use can reduce motor speed and impair verbal learning.
Meth mouth (severely stained teeth that appear to be rotting away or falling out) and cold sores may also develop.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Codependency is a situation in which family members or friends are part of a pattern that may perpetuate behaviors that sustain addiction. Enablers are people who make it possible for a loved one to continue self-destructive behavior by making excuses for them, or even protecting them from the negative consequences of their behavior.
