Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

At the death or discharge of the individual, the active record is closed and retained for the duration of the statute of limitations. If a facility utilizes an imaging program for active records, the remaining portions of the closed records are often imaged at the death or discharge of the person. However, some facilities prefer to avoid the additional cost of imaging the entire record and may image only selected portions for research or administrative purposes. The remainder of the paper record in these facilities is destroyed upon reaching the statute of limitations or other legal retention period.

Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
