Medical social services help patients and family members cope with a disease process through involvement with community services.

Physical therapists establish a home exercise program for the patient, assisting with exercise routines and ambulating devices. Occupational therapists assist the patient to become independent with activities of daily living, such as dressing, bathing, and more.
