To ensure the best patient care. CARF International (formerly Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) standards and criteria for full accreditation are comprehensive and specific with regard to the rehabilitation care of patients. CARF accreditation is difficult to attain. The quality of care in a rehabilitation program, however, is markedly affected by meeting the standards of CARF.
