Answer to Question 1

On the Tx tab, clicking either the red or blue button on any test automatically records it as performed.

Using the prefix ordered changes the test to ordered. Alternatively, highlighting a test description (without clicking the red or blue button) and then clicking the Order button in the toolbar orders the test.
