False . Medicaid, not Medicare, provides benefits to people who are poor, as well as to people who are blind, or have a disability, for pregnant women, and for some persons over age 65 . Medicare mainly provides healthcare coverage for people ages 65 and older, as well as people with disabilities and those with end-stage renal disease (kidney failure).
