Answer to Question 1

Researchers at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York are currently conducting clinical trials on the Evalve Cardiovascular Valve Repair System. Evalve is being used for the treatment of mitral valve regurgitation, which can lead to arrhythmias and congestive heart failure. The valve repair procedure is nonsurgical. Guided by images, a catheter is inserted into the vascular system to the mitral valve, where it places a clip to repair the leaky valve.
