Answer to Question 1

The region is essentially named after the European immigrants and the culture the Latin culture that they brought to this region. The name shows the extraordinary impacts that Europe had on this region of the world.

Answer to Question 2

About six hundred years ago, there were not any Latinos in this region of the world. Latin American got its name from the immigrating Latin population from Europe.
