Examine the relationship between population size and the amount of
  water used by the agriculture and power sectors. What diff erences do you
  see between the western states and eastern states? What will be an ideal response?



Question 2

In the eastern states, what sector makes up the largest piece of each pie? What will be an ideal response?

Answer to Question 1

In the West, the population is less and there is a lot of open space, so more water is used
for agriculture than for power. In the East, the population is greater, so more water is
used for producing power than for agriculture.
