Do you think ships are more vulnerable or less vulnerable to hurricanes
  today than they were  years ago? Explain. What will be an ideal response?



Question 2

How would the four  Florida hurricanes rank, in terms of damages, if
  they had been a single event? What will be an ideal response?

Answer to Question 1

Ships today are less vulnerable to hurricanes, thanks to satellite forecasting and global
communications.



Answer to Question 2

If the 2004 Florida hurricanes had been a single event, they would rank 6th in the top 10
in terms of monetary damages.
