Answer to Question 2

An isotherm is a line that connects points on a map that have the same temperature. Isotherms show temperature distribution across an area, allowing one to determine the temperature gradient and to see areas of rapid rates of temperature change or areas of moderate temperature change. All this information becomes readily available with isotherms because they represent the data in a way that makes patterns easily recognizable and identifiable.
