Answer to Question 1

The AP1000 is designed to be smaller and require less maintenance than other reactors. The design focuses on resolving the issues that happened at Fukushima by containing heat from spent reactors for days without power after a blackout occurs. It also has an increased fuel cycle to reduce fuel disposal and costs. According to the site: Westinghouse Electric Company and its consortium are currently building four AP1000 in China. Additionally, five U.S. utilities have chosen the AP1000 for possible nuclear plant construction.

Answer to Question 2

The two categories that organisms can be divided into (based on nutrition source) are autotrophs and heterotrophs. Autotrophs produce the organic compounds they need to survive and grow. Green plants, photosynthetic single-celled organisms, and chemosynthetic bacteria are autotrophs. Heterotrophs, on the other hand, include all other organisms that feed on organic matter as their source of energy.

For the upper point of his scale, he used 96°, which he measured as normal human body temperature (we know it to be 98.6° today because of more accurate thermometers).
