Major anatomic alterations associated with RSV include, but are not limited to, inflammation of the peripheral airways and alveolar hyperinflation. RSV does not alter airway structure or cause pulmonary edema.

Histoplasma capsulatum is found in chicken (and other bird) excreta as well as soil.
