Answer to Question 1

Assist the patient into a safe, comfortable position to rest. Angina often dissipates in minutes with rest. Stay with the patient. Have someone notify the nurse and obtain a set of vital signs.

Autonomic hyperreflexiathis autonomic nervous system overreaction to stimulus can be life threatening. It can elevate blood pressure and lead to stroke, seizure, heart attack, and even death.
