Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
Diagnosis of a MDE includes five or more of the following signs and symptoms: anhedonia, sleep disturbances, psychomotor retardation, fatigue, diminished ability to think/concentrate, recurrent thoughts of death, weight/appetite changes, feelings of worthlessness, and other signs of depression, which must be present frequently during the same 2-week period and must represent a change from previous functional levels. Dysthymia is defined as a depressed mood for most of the day, most days. Broad mood variations from mania to major depression are symptoms of bipolar disorder (BPD). When a personality trait becomes dysfunctional, it is described as a personality (Axis II) disorder.
