Answer to Question 1

D
Feedback:
A D&C may be used after an abortion, whether spontaneous or therapeutic, to remove the retained products of conception. A D&C is always performed after an incomplete abortion. Conization is a form of cervical biopsy and culdoscopy is visualization of the uterus with an endoscope. A hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus. It may be performed for a variety of reasons, such as cancer of the cervix, ovaries, or uterus, or to treat uterine fibroids, severe endometriosis, or a prolapsed (fallen) uterus.
