B
Feedback:
The client experiences sweating. The client's extremities feel colder to the touch. The client's sense of touch is gradually diminished. The client's sense of hearing is slowly lost.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
The nurse should tell the client to eat sour, salty foods (potato chips, lemonade) to prevent nausea. The nurse should not tell the client to eat sweets at bedtime if she wakes up feeling hungry because she may have a rapid rise in blood sugar, followed by a sharp drop. The nurse should not tell a client with diabetes to change over to an oral diabetic agent, because oral diabetic agents are usually teratogenic. The nurse should tell the client to avoid prescription drugs before conception and after pregnancy is confirmed.
