Rationale: Extension cones attach to the tube head. Cones may be cylinder or flare type. Extension cones are able to telescope out and come in different diameters to alter the field size.

Rationale: Maximum depression is achieved by acquiring the image after deep exhalation. If safe and tolerable for the patient, 5-10 pound weights can be secured to the patient's wrists.
