the leg and foot will be in extreme lateral rotation

Rationale: Fracture to the femoral neck will often present with the leg and foot rotated laterally; it may appear that the lateral side of the foot is laying in contact with the surface of the table.

Answer to Question 2

the range of exposures that will acquire an acceptable image

Rationale: Exposure latitude is the amount of room in which different exposure factors can be applied to acquire an acceptable image. CR and DR has greater exposure latitude than film screen imaging.
