Answer to Question 1

PA oblique with lateral rotation

Rationale: The routine PA oblique projection will rotate the hand and wrist 45 degrees lateral. This will demonstrate the scaphoid and triquetrum best.

Answer to Question 2

MSP

Rationale: The head is hyperextended back to rest the vertex on the image receptor. The head should be adjusted back until the IOML is parallel to the IR. The MSP will be adjusted perpendicular to the IR.
