Rationale: Biologic damage due to radiation interaction increases as the Linear Energy Transfer of radiation increases.

Answer to Question 2

towards the cathode

Rationale: According to the anode heel effect, the thicker part or the heel should be aligned with the cathode end of the tube to assist with production of more uniform density.
