Hubbing the needle means placing the entire length of the needle into the animal. This
technique ensures that the needle will not advance after aspiration.

Automatic syringe guns are frequently used to administer live vaccinations. Chemicals and
disinfectants will inactivate live vaccinations. Rinsing with water removes any chemical
residues.
